| Description | Green Grants, a Canadian community greening program sponsored by Walmart Canada and led by Evergreen, is the largest program of its kind nationwide, providing funding to groups introducing or enhancing local community green space. Walmart has committed $2.5 million to Evergreen to help green communities across Canada through the program.
The Green Grants program provides funds of up to $10,000 to local groups working on urban naturalization projects that use native plants to restore and steward woodlands, meadows, wetlands and ravines. This grant program also supports community food gardening projects on publicly accessible lands. |
